June10 - 12, 2015, CYN Annual Reflection workshop had brought together over 50 CYN (Community based Youth Network) members from Phnom Penh City, Kampong Cham, Prey Veng, Siem Reap, Svay Rieng and Koh Kong Province. The workshop was organized under the honorable guest H.E Chou Bun Eng, Secretary of State, Ministry of Interior, Permanent Vice Chair of NCCT and Ms. Julie Chung, U.S Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM). This workshop was organized by Khmer Youth Association (KYA) which funded by USAID under the Counter Trafficking in Persons (CTIP II) through Winrock International.

Objective of the workshop:

To share/reflect of the CYNs engaging and working to promote safe migration and prevention of human trafficking in their community.

To build strong partnership and team spirit among all CYNs from different teams and target areas.

To promote the volunteerism spirit in community development in focusing on Safe Migration and Prevention Human Trafficking.

As result of three days’ workshop, CYN came up with some recommendation to Cambodian Government and USAID as follow:

1. Increase local job opportunities and salaries
2. Disseminate broad information about licensed recruitment agencies, increase close monitoring of the way recruitment agencies manage migrants, and compensate survivors of human trafficking
3. Take action against unlicensed recruitment agencies
4. Increase enforcement and dissemination of information about human trafficking law
5. Enable migrants to obtain legal documents at low cost
6. Rescue and support survivors of human trafficking on time
7. Increase awareness raising on safe migration and prevention of human trafficking through radio, TV, etc.
8. Support and promote youth\\\\\\\'s social activities
9. Expand vocational training centers and community youth training centers to all provinces
10. Keep building the capacity of local authorities. Local authorities should continue to support young volunteers, KYA, and other stakeholders in sharing key information with community people
11. USAID should continue to support CTIP projects in Cambodia
