Yeng Sopheng

Mr. Yeng Sopheng has 10 years of experience working with children and youth across both urban and rural landscapes. His expertise spans various critical fields, including education and child protection.  He holds a master's degree in development studies from the Royal University of Phnom Penh and a bachelor's degree in management from Build Bright University. Currently, Mr. Yeng serves as the manager of the Khmer Youth Association (KYA), a position he has held for five years since 2020. In this role, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing projects that focus on empowering communities and promoting crucial issues such as child protection, sexual and reproductive health, and addressing child early forced marriage (CEFM) among indigenous communities and ethnic groups in the northeastern regions of Cambodia, specifically Ratanakiri and Stung Treng Province. His capabilities in leading project teams are complemented by his skills in monitoring project progress and performance. He collaborates closely with project staff to ensure the timely production of comprehensive reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews of project activities and achievements. Furthermore, he plays a vital role as a resource person within the organization, overseeing the management of the monitoring and evaluation system, which is essential for assessing the effectiveness and impact of the association's initiatives.
