The training aimed to equip participants with a nuanced understanding of the differences between "gender" and "sex," familiarizing them with the terminology of LGBTIQ+ and SOGIESC, and integrating culturally appropriate Khmer language for addressing these terms. Crucially, it underscored the need to avoid discriminatory language in media coverage.

SovannChai not only became a member of the core team but also actively shared his knowledge about LGBTIQ+ and SOGIESC with his peers. Recognizing the significance of spreading awareness, he proposed FHI to keep the momentum, which later leads to an initiative to establish a "Pride Corner." This designated space would serve as a focal point for disseminating information and fostering discussions on LGBTQ+ issues. SovannChai believed that such a platform could play a crucial role in promoting inclusivity within the community.

As a testament to his commitment, SovannChai applied the knowledge gained from the training to participate in an essay competition centered on respecting LGBTQI rights and eradicating discrimination. His dedication and insightful perspective catapulted him into the top 10 out of 16 contestants, a remarkable achievement that showcased the impact of informed advocacy.

The proposed "Pride Corner" embodies SovannChai's wisdom for a space that goes beyond mere awareness, providing a tangible venue for dialogue, education, and support. His initiative not only contributes to the broader objective of inclusivity but also establishes him as a young advocate who actively shapes positive change within his community. SovannChai's journey exemplifies the potential for youth-led initiatives to create lasting impacts, fostering understanding and acceptance for LGBTQ+ individuals.
